Week 4 – Discovering the Heritage

4.1) What does “covenant” mean to you?

Give an example of covenant and its symbol representation in your life?

Examples:
l. Marriage/ring & name exchange
ll. Job/contract, benefits & requirements
lll. Relationship with God/Blood of Jesus Christ

4.2) In our lesson today, we learned that God revealed Himself to Jacob by way of a dream.

How has God revealed Himself to you?

Name a time when God used your situation to reveal Himself to you in a new way?

Examples:
l. Prayed & agreed w/ someone - need greater than you could meet
ll. Wisdom & discernment for decision through an unexpected source
lll. Tithing/financial increase of blessing followed

4.3) How has God proven His covenant with you through your faithfulness in tithing?

Give an example when you gave your tithes during a time of need in your life, and God supernaturally met the need?

Examples:
l. Not enough money for the regular budget/after tithing had enough money for the rest of the month
ll. Tithed in faith for physical need or received healing
lll. Tithed in faith for an unsaved loved one/salvation

4.4) How did meeting God affect your life?

This is where you exchanged your need for His name as God’s Name is incomplete without our need. Jehovah Jireh is our provider.

What changes did you experience after you met Christ?

Examples:
l. Healing & health/sickness & disease
ll. Completely functioning & progressively advancing family/demoralized & dysfunctional family
lll. Obedience in tithing/financial lack & need

4.5) From our lesson today we learned that God takes a mess and turns it into a message every time.
