Week 5 – Discovering the Transformation

5.1) What does “transformation” mean to you?

Give an example of transformation and its source or cause (or where it occurs)?

Examples:
l. Caterpillar to Butterfly/Cocoon
ll. Embryo to Baby/Womb
lll. Civilian to Soldier/Boot camp

5.2) In our lesson today, we learned that our transformation in Christ is a “Journey, NOT a Destination.”

How has God “transformed” an area in your life?

Name a time when God “transformed” you from where you were to where you desired to be?

Examples:
l. Inconsistent, Ineffective prayer
life/Consistent and effective prayer life.
ll. Suppressed witness/Lifestyle witness
lll. Attitude toward authority/ submission

5.3) How has God proven a “Promise” to you through your endurance of the “Transformation”?

Give an example of a time in your life when God confirmed His word to you through your “transformation?”

Examples:
l. Restored relationship with broken relationship
ll. From lack to increase/ Tithing faithfully (where your treasure is there your heart be also)
lll. Health restored physically/ unhealthy lifestyle (eating and exercise)

5.4) Romans 12:2 tells us to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind”.

What is a way you have renewed your mind – and
with what result?

How did renewing your mind affect your life ?

Examples:
l. Continual eating correctly & exercising/healed & healthy physically
ll. Continual tithing & budgeting spending/out of debt & financial increase
lll. Continual appreciation of spouse/ better marriage

5.5) From our lesson today we learned that you can Discover and know God’s good, acceptable and perfect will for you.

In what current situation do you need to know God’s will and what can you do to find it?

What can you begin doing right now to allow transformation to begin in your life?

Examples:
l. Study & meditate on God’s Word concerning who you are in Christ
ll. Get involved in ministry in your local church
lll. Position yourself among a group of believers (life group)
