Week 6 – Discovering the Revelation

6.1) What does “revelation” mean to you?

Give an example of revelation and its source?

Examples:
l. Crossword puzzle/answering questions & consolidating info.
ll. Mosaic type pictures/smaller pictures positioned in a pattern
lll. Riddle/clues

6.2) In our lesson today, we learned that revelation is not about things God has hidden from you but things he’s hidden for you.

Give an example of when God revealed something to you for a specific purpose?

Name a time when God revealed something to you that advanced you from where you were?

Examples:
l. Purpose of tithing/Increased finances
ll. Change in schedule that didn’t make sense/Divine appointment of increase to your life
lll. Health knowledge/healed

Name a place that you meet with God. Why there?

Examples:
l. A sentimental place/ focus on the love of God
ll. A secluded place outdoors/ focus on God’s beauty & vastness
lll. A special room no one else uses uninterrupted

6.3) We see from our lesson that our relationship with the “God of the Word” comes through the “Word of God”.

How has God proven Himself faithful to you through “revelation”?

Give an example of a time in your life when God confirmed His revelation to you through your obedience to His Word?

Examples:
l. Prayed for someone when the Holy Spirit prompted/safety resulted
ll. Shared a word with someone/they acknowledged & confirmed
lll. Changed appointment on a business deal/made a much better deal

6.4) What difficulties have arisen or could arise as a result of neglecting God’s promptings in your life?

Name a time when you did not acknowledge the Lord and you needed His revelation?

Examples:
l. Wrong marriage partner/didn’t acknowledge His Word, pray & seek Godly council
ll. Financial trouble/didn’t heed His Word on tithing
lll. Career promotion/followed own desires & didn’t ask God His

6.5) From our lesson today we learned that you can “call to the Lord and he will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know”.

In what way presently can you position yourself to receive revelation from God?

What can you begin doing right now to allow revelation to begin in your life?

l. Consistent prayer time
ll. Fear the Lord & consider His Word in every decision
lll. Position yourself a & receive council from among a group of strong believers in your local church (life group)
